Fosters as people, not rows in a spreadsheet
For foster coordinators. How placements, check-ins and care records work when every animal is in someone’s home.
Custody, not location
Who has this animal right now, since when, and on whose authority. A foster placement is a custody change with a name attached, not a note in a spreadsheet.
Applications, placements and check-ins
A coordinator can see which animals are placed, how many each foster is carrying, and who has not been heard from. Overdue check-ins show against your schedule.
Care recorded where it happens
A foster records feeding, medication and behaviour from a phone, in the animal’s own record. It is there for the vet, and it is there for the adopter afterwards.
Questions
Do fosters need to install anything?
Fosters record care from a phone in the animal’s record; it works in the phone’s browser.
We have no building. Does it still work?
Yes. urRescue is built around custody and people rather than kennels, so a rescue spread across volunteer homes is the normal case.
Who can see what a foster records?
It is on the animal’s record, so your team and, later, the animal’s vet and adopter see the parts they are entitled to.
